Loveisms #18

Third Party

Of course I wanted to go back...

To a time when our eyes understood each other.

When a secret smile would mean a hundred meaningful words.

And a simple touch would turn into an explosion of mutual delight.

But we're two different people now.

You have lines on your face that says you are tired of the present.

While the dark, under eye spots I have gained are of longing the previous "us".

You once said, "this won't change anything".

But it did.

Because those moments that once belonged to us are now shared by three.

Me, you and her.

And that changes everything.

Read: Alphabet Weekends

Just had some light, summer reading with this book.

It's about 2 friends who decided to spend twenty-six weekends together, indulging in twenty-six different activities from A to Z.  The catch?  Guy is in love with the girl and thinks that at the end, they would fall madly in love with each other.
Except that love—and life—is never as easy as A, B, C . . .

This turned out to be something I'd love to do in real life.

The Power of Saying "No"

Like a lot of women out there, I had problems saying NO.

I grew up thinking that I need to accommodate people's needs to be able to live a rich, fulfilling life.

That I need to be selfless and kind.

As a grown up, I realized that to be able to live a satisfying existence, I need to prioritize myself before I can give to others.

They said that sometimes when you tell other people "No", you are actually saying "YES" to yourself.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

Do not believe otherwise.
