A Victory for Asian Women
Finally, another good news for all Asians.
Chinese tennis star Li Na made history as the first ever player from China and from Asia to win a Grand Slam singles title. Li Na beat defending champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy with a score of 6-4 7-6 (7-0) on Saturday to win the French Open.
According to the news, it is also one of the oldest French Open finals pairing since 1986 with Li Na being 29 and Francesca being 30.
I guess this only shows that talent knows no age, race or gender.
Congratulations!
