Disasters and Heroes

Let us all pray for Japan. A friend emailed me these pictures and I found them sad and devastating.

In this time of earthquakes and tsunami, I can't help but fear for the Philippines. However, somehow I feel at ease that what we lack in preparation and resources, we have more than made up for heroism, resourcefulness and positiveness.

We even rescue pets...

But while it is noble to be a hero, I think that we should be guardians in the meantime.  We should all put our collective efforts in taking care of this planet.  Afterall, there is no one like this in the whole universe.
