The Philippines won 2 awards in the recently concluded Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2011 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
Philippine teams from the University of the Philippines (UP) and Mapua Institute of Technology won both On-Track and Off-Track Awards.
University of the Philippines’ Team UP won the Diesel Fuel Award for its UrbanConcept vehicle entry “Kidlat” while Mapua Institute of Technology was awarded the exemplary safety compliance during the competition, winning second place for the Safety Award.
