I'm a Writer, not a Lover

#whyiwrite is currently trending on twitter because apparently, October 20 is the National Writers Day.

I would like to share this quote from one of my favorite author, Paulo Coelho:

A writer lives in the heart of his/her readers. It is a love story without sex.

For me, I write because I need an outlet to express and explore my ideas.  I cannot keep silent on a lot of things and since I can't always find someone to talk to, I'd rather write.

Writing for me is not passive.  It moves people to act, to feel and to think.  This is my goal in writing.
