Single and Must Love Dogs

I know that spinsters have always been associated with cats and this shirt says it all.

Personally, I am more of a "must-love-dogs" person.

I've recently read an article that says that more and more singles are getting pets "as they look to fill a sense of love and family in their lives".

In fact, this article further states that in US alone from 2006 to 2011:

• Pet ownership among divorced, widowed and separated adults grew by 17.7 percent, from 51.3 to 60.4 percent.
• The number of single men living alone with pets increased by 27.7 percent, from 34.3 to 43.8 percent.
• The number of single women living alone with pets increased by 22 percent, from 46.8 to 57.1 percent.

Interesting right?

And I have also discovered websites catering to pet lovers looking for love or just waiting to be found.

http://www.youmustlovedogsdating.com boasts of being the FIRST niche website designed specifically for singles who love dogs. This site claims to have over 2 million dog lovers who are looking for someone just like them – a loving, caring human being who feels life isn’t complete without a tail wagging, furry friend. 

http://mustlovepets.com, according to their site, is the premiere pet finder destination for meeting and/or dating quality animal lovers who are single and seeking a sincere relationship with other dog lovers or cat lovers.

And one that's called http://www.datemypet.com.  I will leave you to ponder and find out whether this is really more about the pets than their owners.

I am tempted to list a lot of other sites but I know that with the right motivation and need, you can certainly search better :-)

So there's certainly a chance that it won't be a lonely and miserable existence alone with our pets.  Sometimes, they can even lead us to love.  Goodluck!
